This section contains all of the graphic previews for the Equations and Inequalities Worksheets. We currently have worksheets covering multi-step equations with integers, decimals, and fractions. We have absolute value equations, multi-step inequalities, compound inequalities, and absolute value inequalities. We have several word problem in this section such as two step equations, ”distance, rate, and time” problems, mixture problems, and work word problems. These Equations and Inequalities Worksheets are a good resource for students in the 9th Grade through the 12th Grade.
These place value worksheets are great for testing children on writing numbers out in expanded form. You may select 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 digit numbers to use and then when the children have mastered those individually then select the ”Random Number of Digits” to generate a worksheet with a mixture of different types of problems. These place value worksheets are appropriate for Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade.
There are two fundamental problems with worksheets. First, young children do not learn from them what teachers and parents believe they do. Second, children’s time should be spent in more beneficial endeavors (Willis, 1995). The use of abstract numerals and letters, rather than concrete materials, puts too many young children at risk of school failure. This has implications for years to come. Worksheets and workbooks should be used in schools only when children are older and developmentally ready to profit from them. Our challenge is to convince parents and others that in a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum children are learning important knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will help them be successful in school and later life.
